Constantine restored to the throne

December 5, 1920

The plebiscite held today in Greece proved more than satisfactory for King Constantine. Greeks voted overwhelmingly for the return of the Greek monarch and the royal family. Preparations are now being made for Constantine's return, and the Allied nations are expected to now disclaim that Constantine ever worked against them in the war.
However, it is possible that the king might abdicate in favor of his eldest son, Prince George, but when asked about this, the king "remarked with a laugh:" Well, there are many possibilities, but really one probability."
